Dennis Hopper, John Ford & John Huston in bed.

Dennis Hopper, John Ford & John Huston in bed together. By Viktor Skrebneski, 13 September 1971, Palm Springs, California. Dennis Hopper explains:
“John Houston (sic) and I were doing an ad for whisky with Victor Skrebneski. I asked Huston when was the last time he had seen John Ford. “I haven’t seen him in 20 years” he responded. So we decided to visit Mr. Ford in Palm Springs and take Victor with us. After talking for a while, I told Mr. Ford that I had gotten permission from his wife to get him into his wheelchair so we could take a photograph together. Mr. Ford replied, “Kid, you know what your problem is? You’ve got no sense of drama — because if you had a sense of drama you’d get in bed with me.”

Vincent Gallo by Michel Comte (1993)

New York-born Musician-actor Vincent Gallo is known for “Tetro” (2009), “Essential Killing”(2010) and of course “Buffalo ’66 ” (1998). He also starred as Paul Leger in “Arizona Dream”alongside Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp in 1992. This Michel Comte photoshoot came just after, in 1993. Check it out.
Personally, I think he should play Jude in a Jude the Obsucre adaptation.

You have not seen this portrait of Malcolm McDowell

Malcolm Mcdowell, when you first hear his name, you will most likely think of Kubrick’s masterpiece “A Clockwork Orange”(1971), or Lindsay Anderson’s brilliant “If” (1968). We would like to invite you to reconsider his face, far away from the iconic images attached to it.
This portrait by Guy Webster, although undated, serves exactly this purpose. It gives us a brand new photo of McDowell, a portrait of him as opposed to a character he plays. It would be interesting to compare it to this portrait of the actor in 1971 by Jack Robinson.
Webster is “One of the early innovators of rock-and-roll photography, renowned photographer Guy Webster has spanned the worlds of music, films and politics in a stellar 40-year career.” (guywebster.com)

Dude, it’s Jeff Bridges in Esquire !

The Big Lebowski (1998) himself, actor turned singer Jeff Bridges in Esquire Magazine, April 2011. Photo by “Perou”.

This is what he had to say about his career: ““Acting, man,” he says now. “Believe me, I like life to come at me a little slower than that. I was just playing the calm guy.”
It was the last acting he will do until the end of this, his sixty-first year. He’s decided that this year, he’s going to concentrate on making music rather than movies. Just now, when he’s as famous as he’s ever been, when the scripts are piling up against his door like leaves, he’s choosing instead to live inside the recording studio he’s built next to his old garage and sing.” (source: Esquire Magazine).
