Elsa Schiaparelli’s”Cocteau” evening Jacket, Fall 1937. Linen, metallic foil, beads, paillettes. If you don’t know Schiaparelli, do google her, the amazing woman will make your day.  I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about linen in my entire life.

Setsuko Hara is photographing a policeman with her Rolleiflex camera during her visit to Berlin, Nazi Germany, 1937 to promote the film “Daughter of the Samurai” (1937) – a co-production between Japan and Nazi Germany.
