Sandrine Bonnaire by Robert Doisneau in Paris!

Not an extremely photographed person, French actress Sandrine Bonnaire, star of La Cérémonie by Claude Chabrol (1995), A Nos Amours by Maurice Pialat (1983) and of course Vagabond by Agnes Varda (1985) is hard to find on magazine covers. Digging up portraits of her was not easy, thus making the following portrait by Robert Doisneau even more interesting. Shot in Paris in 1990.
I am not the author of this photo. All rights go to Robert Doisneau.

Aki Kaurismäki in London

Photographer Marya Leena Ukkanen (very little about her is online and in English), shot this portrait of Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki in London, back in 1990. I am not the author of this image.

An exceptional horseman named Jeremy Irons

Actor Jeremy Irons (1948-) , star of Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers (1988), Lynch’s Inland Empire (2006) and Louis Malle’s Damage (1992) is actually an exceptionally good horseman.
Swiss artist Michel Comteborn in 1954 received his first international advertising assignment from Karl Lagerfeld for the fashion house of Chloe and moved to Paris.

In 1990, he took these photos of Irons for Interview Magazine. I think the last shot is very Fritz Lang.

Brigitte Nielsen, back in the day

Helmut Newton‘s wife June was a photographer herself. She used the pseudonym “Alice Springs” and took photos of many a famous face, including Danish actress & model Brigitte Nielsen.
Nielsen is mainly known for her roles in Red Sonja & Rocky IV. Not that these films are of particular aesthetic value or interest, I personally find the photo below pretty impressive.
